      I need some advice. My centrifuge is showing significant vibration with no load. I can't determine the heavy spot. I spun the drum so that it stopped with the heavy spot at the bottom and placed a weight on top. After this, the drum no longer stops with the heavy spot at the bottom, and the vibration improved slightly, but it's still noticeable.
      I inspected the bearings and replaced one because it had play. The vibration reduced slightly, but the issue remains. How can I eliminate the vibration?
      I’m considering purchasing balancing instruments, as I also have a mower and drying fans. I studied instruments under $5000: Vibromera, ADASH, ACEPOM322 (Chinese). What else should I consider?

      Your method is known as static balancing, and it works well only for narrow rotors, such as grinding wheels. Consider a wide rotor: one side has the heavy spot at the bottom, and the other side has the heavy spot at the top. When you turn it 90 degrees, these points balance each other out, and the rotor stops rotating heavy side down. When you set it in motion, these heavy spots generate centrifugal force, leading to vibration. This is called couple imbalance, and it is only corrected with dynamic balancing, as it doesn't show in static balancing.

      You should also look for cracks in the welded joints and ensure bolt tightness.
